On December 2, I delivered copies of From Fire to Form to the Cornwall Community Museum to be sold in their gift shop. I was surprised to be welcomed by a number of the staff members, and invited to have my photo taken with a copy of the book.

The staff of this museum were most helpful in the creation of this book, from providing news articles from their files, to searching their electronic files for photos from the Standard-Freeholder and arranging for the subsequent permissions for us to use those photos in the book.

The museum itself is worth a visit. As well as archives, the museum has permanent and temporary exhibits chronicling the past of this historical area – early settlement of Canada, Indigenous history, War of 1812, construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway….there’s plenty to see. And, of course, you would want to see their display of art glass created in the Cornwall area: Rossi, Chalet and much more. You can buy the book there, too!
